MPPT, or maximum power point tracker is an electronic DC to DC converter that optimizes the match between the solar array (PV panels), and the battery bank or utility grid. MPPT are different than the traditional PWM solar charge controllers which MPPT able to perform as much as 30% more output voltage power from your solar panels. MPPT allows solar panels’ more higher voltage DC output to be converted down to the lower voltage needed to charge batteries
